Police Station visits lauded by Ministry

GEORGETOWN -The Ministry of Home Affairs considers the most recent move by the Police Association to visit police stations throughout the country, as “a step in the right direction.”

In a recent press statement, the Ministry lauded the move to interact with members of the force.

Also, in its statement, the Ministry pointed out that “sustained efforts have been made and are being made by the Ministry to build the capacity of the force to enable it to provide a better quality of service to citizens.”

Further, the Ministry has committed its support to the Police Association and the Administration of the Guyana Police Force to reserve unacceptable trends in conduct by such members of the force whose errant conduct is negatively affecting the image of the organization.
